What would you say this product is used for on the Doral boat. I have an Elegantè and am looking for a rubber backed material that I can get custom cut and shaped to walk on in the cockpit instead of the carpet that came with the boat.

I'm afraid we do not know where it was intended to be used. I can tell you though, this wouldn't be suitable for that purpose. It is typically used to make seats/pads/cushions, etc. Sorry.
