Product Questions

Wondering if this will work for a 2008 224 sunesta. Trying to replace the low profile windshield that doesn't have a center piece. Is this standard height and just need to also add a walkthrough center piece? Do you have that as well? Could you check on that and let me know if you have templates I could get for both?

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately, we don't have any way to cross reference the glass windshields we have (including this one) to specific boats. We aren't dealers and don't know what was used on your 224 (or other boats) We believe this one wasn't designed to have a center walk through, since those pieces fit together... though you could try checking with a dealer.

You might want to start by looking at the dimensional photo. That 58 1/2" measurement is the critical one. If you can make that work, the rest often falls in to place.

Hello, My name is Tom Barrett. We have a Chapparal 230 Suncoast that we bought new in September of 2018. On Sunday, while boating we noticed a crack in the bottom of the drivers side windshield about one and a half inches long. Later, while washing down the boat, we noticed that the crack had grown to about 6 inches. The following day, the crack extended across the windshield and the windshield shattered into little pieces. What happened, and is a replacement windshield available.

Hello Tom,

Honestly not sure why a windshield would shatter like that.

Unfortunately we don't currently have one specific to your 230 and it isn't something we can source/order.

If a dealer can't supply replacments, you may need to either find someone to make one, or find one close and use it. That option isn't as daunting as it sounds, and you'll find our complete units are more often than not cheaper than having a section custom made.

Here is a link that shows how we measure them:

The single most important measurement is the 74". That is center to center of the port/starboard radius. If you can find one that matches yours, there is a good chance it will work. The height, and to an extent the length can usually vary, and the width across the back as well, because the back can flex so much.

If interested, here is a link to all we currently have:

Note too: If you find one you feel may work, we can offer a foot print template for $20 which is refunded if the windshield is purchased.

Hope this helps!
