My 04 Ranger boat has the older oil tank gauge that has threaded post for connecting wires. The gauge is bad and I need to change to the new stile with a plug. I ask about a plug for the new gauge and you sent me this one and it has six wires. The old gauge has four wires connected to it two from the tank one ground and one to the light. How will I know what wires to use and connect to. Are the wires marked?

Hi Larry,

I'm pretty sure you'd only use 4 of those 6 wires but we don't know the exact wiring sequence. What we would suggest is to contact Veethree Instruments out of Florida. They purchased the Teleflex gauge line several years ago and should have a proper wiring diagram for you.

Sorry we couldn't tell you more, but that is sometimes the case in our business.
