There is a 3" diameter mounting plate that attaches to the wall or ceiling and then a 2" deep housing containing the bulb housing simply attaches to that plate.
This very attractive, highly polished light can be used in cabins, salons or as under-cabinet lighting. Don't let the 10 watt bulb fool you - with the reflective cone around the bulb, it creates a nicely controlled lighting beam.
