Product Questions

i have a 115 gal. aluminum gas tank from a 1996 cobia 21wa. i want to order a smaller one maybe 75 gal and create the gap from the smaller size in the back of the boat and just build a wood sub frame to keep it from shifting rearward. the idea is to eliminate the weight in back of the boat. with the newer motors mpg. improvement i dont see me ever needing 115 gallons anyways. i was wondering if i brang the tank in to your shop can you cut it and reweld shorter ?

Hello Steven,

I'm afraid we don't make these, and don't do any sort of fabricating - we purchase overstocks & closeouts - and are just a warehouse.

You could try checking with a area metal fabricator, but honestly, good luck finding one that would cut/weld a ued fuel tank.

Sorry we couldn't help.

Does this tank have two fuel pick-ups for dual engines?
Question by: Joseph Gerace on Jul 19, 2022, 3:20 PM
Hello Joseph,

Sorry no, it only has what is shown. Just the one pick up.

How many internal baffles does the tank have?
Question by: Scott D Thistlethwaite on Jun 1, 2022, 1:15 PM
Hi Scott,

I don't believe this one has any baffles. I went and looked and didn't see any weld lines on the outside that would indicate such. However, you might want to contact Florida Marine Tanks to be sure.

Will this tank fit a 2000 sea swirl Striper 2100 walk around ?? Thanks in advance
Question by: Eddie r on Jan 12, 2022, 7:45 PM
Hi Eddie,

I'm sorry, but we do not know. We are not dealers, and cannot cross reference them to specific boats. You'd pretty much need to just go by the measurements in the ad.

Do you have measurements for the location of the connections on the FMT-73-LRS fuel tank? Particularly the distance from the front of the tank. Thanks

Hi Robert,

This is stored at a fulfilment location, but I'll see what we can do. It may take a day - is that ok?
