This hatch is constructed out of textured black marine grade plastic. The manufacturer calls this a 12" x 16" hatch, we measure it to be approximately 16 1/4" L x 12 1/2" H overall. Requires a cutout of approximately 14 1/4" L x 10 3/8" H x 1 1/8" D. The hatch features (2) non-locking plastic pull latches and mounts with (14) 3/16" mounting holes.

Once you turn the latches and lift, it is very easy. Certainly no tools needed.
