Boat part number 8600455 is a new, off the roll, increment of apex steel colored 3/4" hidem from Larson Boats, part number 8138-5084 .
Hidem (or Hydem) welt trim is used to hide the staples underneath your boat seats in boat seat upholstery projects. Simply pull the welt apart, staple through the welt and material into the bottom of the seat, and your staples will be hidden from view giving your boat seat a beautiful professional finish.
This marine grade hidem measures approximately 3/4" H x 1/8" D overall.
Manufacturer calls this Apex Steel, we see it closer to a silver color. This hidem has a reflective finish that is difficult to photograph. We recommend ordering a sample.
