This shock mount is constructed out of stainless steel and has an approximately 3/8" Dia. ball stud. Measures approximately 2" W x 1" H x 1 3/8" D overall and has (2) 3/16" Dia. mounting holes approximately 1 1/2" apart, center-to-center.

I'm sorry, but we have no history with that 40231035 part number, so we don't know what specific brackets will work with it. Do you know who manufactured the shock? If you want to email a photo or two, we may be able to identify it, but would also need to know it's compressed & extended length.

Is the new LUND BOAT SHOCK MOUNTING BRACKET 2008204 | GAS 3/8 INCH STAINLESS used in place of the Lund bracket GLS # 8300093?

They both serve the same purpose, but they have (very) slight differences in dimensions, that I don't think would make a difference.
