Does this charge the battery and automatically switch to trickle charge before unhooking the power supply cord?

I'm afraid we do not know. The manual doesn't state it one way or the other, and since we aren't dealers, we don't have any more info than what we have in the ad. About all we can suggest is to contact the manufacturer directly.

Looking through the manual, it doesn't really say that, so we can't say for sure. What we might suggest is to contact Bass Pro Tech Service to see what they say. We aren't dealers, and only have limited knowledge of this item.
