Would this pump be adequate for transferring water from 55-gallon drum to another tank? What is the warranty period?

Yes it will be, unfortunately we do not offer a warranty on this item but Rule may as they are the manufacture.

Hello Giovanni,
Here is what the instructions say:
"Fit a length of appropriate size hose to the
outlet nozzle and immerse the complete pump in liquid.
Connect the battery
clips to the battery terminals (+) positive to (+) positive and (-) negative to
(-) negative (if powering from a car or boat battery do not use with engine
running). The pump will deliver immediately.
For an in-line installation unclip the filter to expose the inlet nozzle. Connect a
length of hose between the tank and nozzle . The pump must be fitted below
the tank"

does pump have float switch and what power 12V or 110 V

It is 12 volt but doesn't include a float switch.
