Constructed from beige colored marine plastic, this hatch latch measures approximately 2 3/8" Dia. x 1 1/2" L overall. Requires an approximate 2" Dia. cutout. Will fit a panel thickness of 1/2" T.

the hole is 2 1/2 inches in diameter, I assume that my hole is too large for your suggested part. your thoughts?

Hi Jerry,
You might be able to get it to work, but gosh, there wouldn't be a lot of latch flange on the mounting surface. Maybe 1/16" all the way around I'm guessing?
