Product Questions

Why is there no spring on this seat base as there is with stationary seat bases? I only want to use it in the flat or 3 degree position. Seems the spring around the 3/4 inch base shaft would provide some cushioning as does the one on a station seat base. Primarily I would be using it in the 3 degree position to eliminate discomfort because of the way a straight stationary pedestal leans too far back due to the way the deck on my boat is built along with the way the boat sits in the water.

Hi Danny,

That's probably something you'd want to ask of Springfield Marine, or a Springfield dealer. We don't do any sort of installations, etc., and just aren't that familiar with what they can or can't do.

Sorry we could not tell you more.
