Product Questions

2007 cast a way 231 will this fit my pontoon
Question by: Kathryn Holt on Jul 2, 2023, 7:27 PM
Hello Kathryn,

Chances are it will but the only way we know for sure is if you remove your old wheel and hub from your steering helm shaft and see if that helm has a key way or splined tip. A key way has 1, 2 or 3 slots on it while a splined tip would have 15-19 splines and look like a prop shaft.

If you look at the back side view of this one, you'll see the three notches in the hub. That is a key way mount.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lew,

I'm sorry, but we are not able to cross reference steering wheels to specific boats. The only way we know for sure a wheel will fit, is if you remove your old wheel and hub from your steering helm shaft and see if that helm has a key way or splined tip. A key way has 1, 2 or 3 slots on it while a splined tip would have 15 splines and look like a prop shaft.

If you look at the back side view of this wheel, you'll see three slots - that is a key way.

Hope this helps!
