Boat part number 1056070 is a new tachometer gauge from Teleflex, part number 66280 .

This clear illuminated 8,000 RPM gauge features a flat lens, gray bezel, white face, gray needle, and gray text.
Measures approximately 3 3/4" Dia. across the face including bezel. Requires an approximate 3 1/4" Dia. cutout. Connects with (5) threaded bolts. Mounting bracket included.

Set up for 4/6/10/12 pole outboard only.

On the back of the tach there are numbers like 8c/4p,5p,6p. What should that be set on for a Mercury 175 hp 2 stroke.

It should be 6P - that is for 12 poles, which is what works with your 175.
