Boat part number 1099992 is a new International series trim gauge from Teleflex Marine / Seastar, part number 72742 .
This clear halogen illuminated trim gauge features a domed lens, black bezel, black face, white needle, and red/white graphics.
It measures approximately 2 1/4" Dia. across the face including bezel x 2 3/4" D overall and requires a cutout of approximately 2" Dia. It has (1) single male spade and (3) threaded connections.
Mounting bracket included.

on the Teleflex Marine 72742 trim gauge for MerCruiser, can you point me to a wiring diagram? We replaced the gage but it is not functioning, so I assume I may have it miswired. Can you help?

I'm really sorry, but we don't have a Teleflex wiring diagram and those aren't made anymore. I'm wondering if maybe that gauge is only for Mercury outboards. I know some of their trim gauges ended up being outboard only. Now how you check that, I'm afraid we don't know. You might want to try Sierra Parts - they are now doing a lot of those Teleflex gauges.

The trim gauge stop working on the 1995 Johnson 200 boat motor that I have. The #on the Teleflex gauge is 72740 and looks exactly like 72742 gauge. I cannot find the 72740 anywhere and would like to know if this can be a replacement for it. If not, what number replaces the 72740? Thanks for any information you can give me. Jerry Stout

Unfortunately, we've been sold out of the 72740 for quite a while now, and since they are out of production, it's not likely we'll see more. The 72742 won't work for you I'm afraid.
