This fabric has many applications, such as the underside of a chair or sofa covering the springs and webbing, dust covers, lamp base undersides, backing for some sewing and embroidery projects, creating pattern templates, upholstery backing, scratch guard, embroidery backing, electronics covers among many more.

Not really - it's a completely different material. Imagine the material underneath your living room sofa or recliner. That's what it's like.
