Product Questions

I own a skateboard manufacturing company in the Seattle area. Specifically, I'm looking to incorporate a strong, but light weight, element into my skateboards. Right now I cold press 7 layers of maple veneer - each layer is roughly 1/20" thick. I'd like to replace a couple layers with a lighter product. The challenge is that the skateboards have a lot of curvature and the press is a cold press. I came across the Soric product and it looks promising. It could definitely form to my moulds, but I don't know enough about its properties to understand if it would replace the strength of the veneer. Also, would it work with my polyurethane adhesive that I use in the press application?

If this product isn't right, are there any other products that you sell that may work?

I'd love to test it out to make sure it works before buying a roll. Do you have smaller pieces for sale?

Hi Scott,
I love it! I have been skateboarding for over 15 years so this is great. Anyway I can help..

We do have stock # 1064916 sold by the foot. It is 2mm instead of 3 like the roll. I cannot cut off the full roll, but if you want to try the 2mm, I can send a little sample of the 3mm to get an idea if it helps.

The product is designed to be used with any type of resin, so I do not know if the polyurethane adhesive would be a problem, but there is no way of knowing without trying. Let me know what you are thinking!
