Product Questions
I need 78081(7) instead of 78081(6). Will this one work?

Hello Allen,
Im afrai this one won't work with Mercury outboards. However, this 67023 will work for you:

I bought this for my Avalon which has a Yamaha engine. When I plug it in, it operates in reverse - when the engine is down, the gauge shows up and vice versa. It is outside the 30 day return, so can I just swap wires or can I get a replacement for a Yamaha engine Avalon?
Question by: Gary Shuster on Aug 19, 2022, 7:50 AM
Hi Gary,
Yeah, they don't have the same ohm ranges. You'd need a Yamaha trim, and most Mercury trim gauges will work as well. I don't think switching the wires around would do it. Even though you are well outside the 30 day return period, we will accept a return if the gauge hasn't been altered in any way, but for a store credit only.
Unfortunately, we don't have the same gauge with the same connector wthat WILL work for you. If you can make the standard post connector work, we do have this one:

Let us know what you'd like to do.
Thanks,
Gene
