Product Questions
I have a 1988 16ft seastar with a 85 horse motor. Will this fit my boat
Question by: Jonathan Peterson on Jul 24, 2023, 4:10 PM
Hello Jonathan,
I'm afraid we are not able to cross reference steering kits/systems to specific boats or motors. About all we can suggest is to contact a Seastar dealer.
Sorry we could not help.

Question by: Randy zerler on Jul 9, 2023, 2:41 PM
Hi Randy,
I'm afraid measuring steering cables is a bit more complicated. See link:

You can also email the part numbers - we may be able to tell that way too.

what size is the shaft for the steering wheel? diameter and length?
Question by: Robert Birmingham on Jun 29, 2023, 3:31 PM
Hello Robert,
It's the standard 3/4" shaft, but I'm afraid we don't have the length (these kits are stored at a fulfilment location)
I don't think Seastar offers the helms with different length shafts, but you could contact them directly to see what they say.
