Boat part number 1068222 is a new max hull transducer for a X96 fishfinder and depth sounding sonar display from Lowrance / LEI, part number 000-0106-96 . Commonly used on Doral Boats, part number unavailable. May be used on other boats.
This transducer is constructed out of black colored marine grade plastic. Measures approximately 4" W x 3" OD overall, and requires a 2 1/4" diameter cutout. Has a 2 7/8" W max hull thickness and features a 20 foot cable cord connected to the transducer with (1) 5-pin female connector and (2) raw ended wire leads, (1) red and (1) black.
The transducer converts electrical impulses into a sound wave and sends into the water. (The sound frequency can't be heard by humans or fish.) The sound wave strikes an object (fish, structure, bottom) and bounces back to the transducer,which converts the sound back into an electrical signal. The receiver amplifies this return signal, or echo, and sends it to the display, where an image of the object appears on the scrolling sonar chart. The sonar's microprocessor calculates the time lapse between the transmitted signal and echo return to determine the distance to the object. The whole process repeats itself several times each second.
Please Note: Transducer does not specify degree or kHz. There is an additional inline fuse holder that holds a 3A fuse, and has (1) red wire lead with (2) raw ends for connection.
