Boat part number 1059310 is a new 8 ounce lot of black sunset metal glitter flake for Tracker Boats, part number 135653 .
Originally made for Tracker Boats, this is the original OEM metal flake used by several manufacturers to mix with clear polyester, or other resins.
Most commonly applied by putting into a salt shaker and shaking into a clear resin after the resin is applied to the side of the boat (for other application tips, please contact your local body shop). Commonly used on autos, jet skis, ski boats and whatever else you care to brighten up!

Can this be used on aluminum boats?

Hi Sarah,
We don't know why not, but it's really dependent on the resin that the flake gets mixed into. I'm afraid though, we aren't familiar with what resins may work on aluminum. Maybe check with a body shop.

is the 8 ounce container enough to color a quart of good quality clear varnish?? just doing the top rail of my boat from rub rail to top.
